Brian E. Hamilton holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he graduated with distinction, was the Editor-in-Chief of the McGeorge Law Review, and was admitted to the Traynor Honor Society. While in law school, Mr. Hamilton received Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in Evidence, Community Property, and American Legal History. Also during law school, Mr. Hamilton was a judicial extern for U.S. District Court Judge Kimberly J. Mueller of the Eastern District of California. Prior to attending law school, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/International Relations from the University of California, San Diego.
Immediately after obtaining his law degree, Mr. Hamilton spent two years gaining invaluable experience as the judicial law clerk for Justice Ron D. Parraguirre of the Nevada Supreme Court. After returning to California, Mr. Hamilton became a two-time Jeopardy! Champion and went to work at a law firm that specializes in oil and gas law. Mr. Hamilton’s practice now focuses on civil litigation, where he puts his insider’s knowledge of the judicial process to work for clients on a range of matters. Mr. Hamilton has represented energy companies, fruit growers, small business owners, and small government agencies through various stages of litigation.
Mr. Hamilton belongs to the Placer County Bar Association, Sacramento County Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of California.
